New Patient Registration -SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS.
This has been agreed with Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) due to the national and local lack of suitable GPs. This has been reviewed with the CCG in March and we are applying to extend this suspension for a year as the present situation has not changed - at present the practice has only one permanent GP to look after nearly 4400 patients.
If you wish to comment on this matter please email: firstname.lastname@example.org. But please read the briefing document first.

west Coker Surgery is a small semi-rural village practice near Yeovil in Somerset which provides traditional family general practice. It is also a dispensing practice which means that registered patients who live more than a mile from a pharmacy can have the convenience of collecting any GP prescribed medication from the surgery. There is one permanent GP who works regularly at the practice: Dr Lindsay Smith (the registering GP); locums GPs are being employed when suitably trained and available to provide patients with some choice. Once registered patients are free to see any of the GPs who work at West Coker.
