ACES Acute Eye Care

ACES is a free service available to all patients registered with a Somerset GP. The service provides patients experiencing recently occurring medical eye conditions with appropriate treatment closer to home. The service is provided by local optometrists with the specialist knowledge and skills to carry out this work at a locally approved opticians.

SWISH

We provide free, accessible and confidential sexual health services in Somerset including all types of contraception, and STI testing and treatment.Our service is non-judgmental and for people of all ages, genders and orientations. Everyone is welcome, and you don’t need need to see a GP first.

 

MIND Somerset

We are here to make sure anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn for advice and support. Our core purpose is to provide services and support to anyone affected by mental illness, improving their quality of life and wellbeing

Post Menopausal Bleeding

Patients registered with a GP in Somerset can now can self-refer into the Bleeding After Menopause Service, which means you do not have to go to your GP in the first instance.  There are two different ways to refer into the service.  The form can be completed online or over the telephone.  The form takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and you will need a list of any medications you are on

Talking therapies, or psychological therapies, are effective and confidential treatments delivered by fully trained and accredited NHS practitioners. They can help with common mental health problems like stress, anxiety and depression.
